Product Details

Pad Thai is the undisputed National Dish of the Thai diet. You can find it on every soi (street), it’s affordable, and it’s usually cooked and served up within minutes of ordering it. Pad Thai literally translates to “Fried Thai,” and it’s one thing visitors cannot miss chowing down on while touring the Land of Smiles. We have done a slow cooker version with chicken or beef or pork or shrimp or Tofu, delicious peanut and lime flavors and zero spiciness. Included is the rice noodle or quinoa noodle.

Instructions:

Thaw main freezer meal overnight in refrigerator or in the morning in cold water.
Add the contents of freezer bag to crockpot.
Add water according to number of servings. (1/4 cup per serving for this meal)
Make sure the crockpot is more than 1/2 full - otherwise it will cook hot and you will need to reduce times
Cook on low for 3 hours

Cooking Noodles

Last 20 minutes of total cook time, boil enough water (kettle or stove) top to soak noodles for 8-10 mins pr until firm but tender.
Rinse noodles in cold water.

Serve chicken and sauce on top of noodles

Option - Last 5 minutes of total cook time, remove lid, stir chicken and sauce, add cold noodles to warm up and soak up sauce. Leaving lid off, cook until sauce thickness is to your liking.

Pro Tip: Last 10 mins of cook cycle uncover the crock pot, turn to high and allow liquid to boil off as desired

Slow Cooker:

Cook on “low” setting for 2- 3 hours in a 6-quart crockpot or 3-4 hours in a 2-quart crockpot. (make sure your slow cooker is between a half to three quarters filled, any less the sauce will burn and any more the meal may not cook in time)

Pressure Cooker (Insta Pot/Ninja Foodie:
Pressure cook mixture for 4 - 5 mins thawed out, 6-8 mins if from frozen
Release pressure and add rice noodles
Replace lid and use keep warm function for 5 mins or noodles are tender.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with wedges of limes, ground peanuts, bean sprouts and/or fresh cilantro and/or a green salad.
